Zoe-perry
Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of her two appearances on Roseanne. In fear of stress, her parents did not want to see her pursue acting before she turned 18. Perry she was timid to perform in the school, began performing at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. Perry began her career as an actress in New York after graduation, landing minor parts in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, the feeling of homelessness made Perry return to California and find work as a stage actress. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple as part of The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry was featured nine times on The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. Her father played her on The ABC drama Scandal. She also played her older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, an CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. Despite her family link to the character she got the role via an audition.
