Zoe-perry
Perry is a Chicago native who was born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television performances were Jackie Harris on ABC's sitcom Roseanne. Her mother portrayed the role. The actress did not go on to explore acting as a profession after reaching the age of adulthood due to her parents being concerned about the adverse effects that stress could have. Perry claims she never wanted to become an actor during highschool but decided to start performing as a form of social interaction during her time at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, relocated into New York in search of television roles. Her small part was in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness led her to California to find theater work. Perry performed with her mom on stage in The Other Place at Broadway the previous year. In 2015, she performed with her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. Perry was also featured in the role of a political thriller Scandal alongside her father. In addition, she played her younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off of The Big Bang Theory. The role was given an audition to the actress, regardless of the fact that she is a relative with the character.
